School Board moves public comments to the end
January 8th, 2007
The board claims the move was made to help complete actual agenda items, but some attendants claim the change restricts public commentary.
Regular speaker Conny Jensen is quoted as saying:
They did it to thwart us. The people showing up all the time, they’ve pretty much called us the main group.”
The School Board claims to not have a problem with comments, but is concerned that a small number of people are continually commenting at their meetings. They would like to have commentary from a larger representation of the public.
School Board meeting is tonight, Jan 8, at the district’s administration center, 1025 9th Ave., Greeley.
