Greeley City Council has set the date for the Ward I recall election to December 12. This is an election to recall Council Member Leroy Johnson. Along with Johnson, Carlos Leal, Bill Hoff, Janet Branham and Tom Chagolla are running for this Council Seat. I encourage any of the candidates to contact Greeley Elections, I will be glad to post any statements by them.
Not sure which Ward you are in, Ward I consists of the northeast corner of Greeley, most of the area north of 16th street and east of 35th Ave.

Elect
BILL HOFF
For
Greeley City Council
“A breath of fresh air for Ward I”
WHO IS BILL HOFF?
Bill Hoff believes that elected officials should be held accountable by their constituents and have an open mind to consider all points of view.
Bill is not registered with a political party and does not consider himself a politician. This, coupled with his commitment to truth and moral character, will allow him to directly represent your household and others within Ward I objectively.
Those who know Bill Hoff know that he is a man of his word. A man of integrity is what Ward I needs for city council.
WHAT MATTERS TO YOU?
Bill has lived most of the past 10 years in Ward I and has a vested interest in our part of the city. He is concerned about the issues that challenge our area (such as community relations with the police department, our gang problem, residential property deterioration, the city’s push west- with vacant store-fronts and poorly maintained streets, etc.).
Bill is walking door-to-door to find out what matters to you. Campaign time is short for this recall relection,…so, if he’s missed you, he is still interested in your concerns…just send him an email to schedule a time to visit.
Bill Hoff is a working-class citizen, who
interacts with Greeley residents on a daily basis, through his job and church.
Bill spent several years as a police officer for the City of Rocky Ford and the Town of LaSalle. Bill has owned several small businesses and currently works for Comcast in Greeley.
Bill Hoff is a family man, with strong family values. Bill was born in Greeley, as was his wife and all three of their children. As a fourth generation Greeley native, Bill has deep roots in this city. His paternal family owned a retail business until 1984 and his maternal grandfather worked many years for Monfort (now Swift and Co.) His maternal grandmother worked for Greeley/ Evans School District.
Bill Hoff knows that everyone can make mistakes, and has made his share of them. However, when a person holds an elected office and continues in the pattern that LeRoy Johnson has established, they should be removed from that office. When you receive your ballot in the mail, please vote…First, vote to remove Mr. Johnson from office, then vote for Bill Hoff.
As Greeley continues to grow west, let’s not just accept the “leftovers” for Ward I from our city council. Let’s not elect another politician with an agenda, but a real person…

Dear Residents and Businesses in Ward I,
I see a need for new vision, leadership, and integrity for Ward I and the City of Greeley, and that’s what I’m offering. I have fresh views that are not biased from prior experience. I am an everyday person, interacting with people in their homes on a daily basis. I am not registered with a political party, and I have not sought or accepted any contributions for my campaign. I am not a politician, nor do I desire to be one. This, coupled with my commitment to truth and moral character, will allow me to directly and objectively represent households and businesses within Ward I.
I have lived most of the past 10 years in Ward I and I am a 4th generation resident of Greeley. I have a vested interest in our part of the city. As you are, I am concerned about community relations with our police department, our gang problem, residential property deterioration, vacant store fronts, poorly maintained streets & the city’s push west- leaving us behind.
As a former police officer, I know we can supply our police department with the resources to implement community-oriented strategies that are vital to crime reduction. Having formerly operated a small business, I know the importance of providing incentives for businesses to locate in the vacant store fronts in the downtown area- and building upon our amazing new Ice Haus and Museum. Other city’s have successfully renewed their “old town” areas into thriving retail centers and we can, too.
My goal is to help the resident’s and businesses of Ward I and Greeley to realize our potential as a community. I am committed to seeking out the needs and representing them accurately during my term in office.
I have walked door-to-door to find out what matters to you, but the time is limited for this recall election…so, if I’ve missed you, please send me an email at electbillhoff@comcast.net to share your views or schedule a time to visit.
